Starting as a mostly private network to share things among college students Facebook now has over 750 million subscribers. It is the homepage to many computer users even at work, if your company allows it. The recent additions of Subscriptions, theTicker and a new Timeline feature may be a pivotal change for Facebook. On Friday when hurricane Irene was looking like it was going to hit Connecticut I sent out the email below, just to remind people to backup their data and to secure a copy off-site. While the storm wasn’t as bad as it could of been, three days later some of my clients are still without power.
